The Research Paper

Following is the grading scale for the Linguistics 490 research papers. The paper is worth 400 points, or 40% of the final grade.

  • Clearly Defined Issue -- 100 points

  • Readability -- 100 points

  • Method/Experiment/Analysis -- 150 points

  • Mechanics -- 50 points

      - Follows LACUS formatting guidelines

      - Length (between 10-15 pages)

      - Bibliographic citations
